Our new Diversity Partner – Hearing Concern LINK - 16th July 2010
We are very pleased to inform you that Hearing Concern LINK is the latest organisation to become one of our Diversity Partners. Hearing Concern LINK provides support and information to people with a hearing loss and their families.
They offer a number of services including rehabilitation courses, hearing advisors, networking events and training for professionals. Their aim is to achieve the best possible quality of life for all adults affected by hearing loss whose main method of communication is speech. This involves increasing awareness and understanding of hearing loss and its impact; informing, enabling and empowering people to manage hearing loss; and ensuring that appropriate services are provided for people affected by hearing loss.
Lorraine Gailey, Chief Executive of Hearing Concern LINK, says of our new partnership, “We are delighted to partner Equal Approach in their drive to ensure equal opportunities for all in the workplace. We look forward to a collaboration that will help reduce the barriers and restrictions routinely encountered by adults with hearing loss who are otherwise capable of making a significant impact through their working life. With just a little thought and mutual cooperation, plus the confidence that comes from knowing that some specialised support is available in the early days, everyone will be enabled to achieve their full potential.”
