Announcing our new Diversity Partner – The Association of Disabled Professionals
- 7th July 2010
We are delighted to announce that The Association of Disabled Professionals is the latest organisation to become one of our Diversity Partners. The ADP provides a pioneering service including the provision of employment advice, information and peer support to disabled people, their advisors and friends. They have a 24-hour answer phone service where disabled people can seek advice and support from other disabled people about issues relating to education, employment and training.
The ADP not only supports groups of disabled people within particular employment or educational settings, but can also help people on an individual basis, as well as contributing to surveys and putting together information on various disability related issues.

Kath Sutherland, Development Officer at the ADP, says of our new partnership, “The ADP is delighted to be working with Equal Approach to ensure that disabled people are able to engage in paid employment commensurate with their abilities. We hope that the mutual exchange of information and support enables many disabled people to take advantage of the removal of barriers in order that they are able to gain and retain jobs.”

Our Diversity Partnership programme is designed to promote vacancies we are representing to a diverse range of candidates. Those organisations who refer successful candidates to us receive a percentage of the fee we are paid upon placement as a donation, whilst we have a wider pool of diverse candidates to put forward for roles.
